Kian singing about Mummy

I love you like this much
Like a Pirate Ship and the TV
If you were richer, it'd make you cry
Because you have playdo and you are UncleRichard (richer)
If you are Richard (richer) I must be with ya
...You are my lovey and I must be with ya
If you are richard (richer) I'll still be with ya.

He thinks that richard and richer are the same words :P And he loves the song Forget You which is were the line "If I was richer, I'd still be with ya" comes from :)

Happy Birthday Video!

A Monkey and a little piece of Africa in Wellington.

I love playing on these when we come to the zoo. Luckily I have an annual pass or it would be very expensive for me to come and JUST play here!

Our little piece of Africa at the Wellington Zoo - Mummy loves sitting in the huts and watching the giraffes.

Easter 2011

I love Easter! I love having Daddy home with us for 4 whole days and being allowed to eat chocolate straight after weetbix (breakfast).

The Easter Bunny visited me. I woke up and had breakfast after checking to see if he had arrived. He hadn't but when I came back from getting dressed after breakfast there was a trail of easter eggs leading from my bedroom to the garden! I looked and looked and found lots of eggs. I kept them safe in my toolbox.

Daddy looked like he wanted to join in so I out all of his eggs in the garden too! He was too slow at looking so I pointed them all out for him!

Other things we did this weekend were:
  • Playing at the beach
  • Picnic in the car
  • Playing on the playground in Masterton
  • An early morning bike ride with Daddy
  • Baking with Mummy
  • Watched Rio at the cinema
  • Kayla's party
  • Played board games for the first time
  • Built lots of things with Daddy
  • Woke NyamaNyama and Gramps up when we forgot the time difference had changed - Sorry :D
How was your easter?

Today I am THREE!

Hi there,

I am so tired after my huge adventure filled day that Mummy said I could borrow my post from her blog (www.lattejunkie.com) So here is her take on the day and I will write some more about it tomorrow,

It was awesome!!

Mommy calls me Monkey on her blog and Daddy is Stud1!

Monkey's third birthday!

Monkey woke up to a room of balloons (or forty to be exact) and his chosen breakfast of oats and berries. Stud1 was rather disappointed at the chosen breakfast - I'm guessing Monkey will be prepped for the next year to say "cinnamon buns and bacon"

He was slightly disconcerted that the birthday fairies hadn't arrived but after breakfast he walked into the lounge and they had snuck in and left a pile of goodies.

Then it was time to open all the presents.

He was spoilt rotten.
Thank you to Nyamanyama and Gramps for the clothes, book, pirates and the 3D puzzle, to Aunty Sharon and Aunty Jacolien for the shark t-shirts - Mummy  LOVES me having unique (for NZ) shirts!,  Aunty Sarah and Uncle Richard for the pirate ship puzzle, Nanna for the Gruffalo DVD and the moon hopper (my current favourite) and of course Mummy and Daddy for the guitar, meccano and wobble stilts.

We packed the car and set out to the park. I commandeered a table while Stud1 hauled all the food and goodies to the table. After we set up and all the guests arrived, we had a ball! There was laughing and chasing and Miss Amerikiwi was very brave to be out with the boys , even, with her broken collar bone.

I think all the kids had such fun and I hope the grown ups did too!

Highlights included -

  • Monkey singing happy birthday to himself in the middle of the field and singing the  same line OVER and OVER again.
  • LittleRod giving everyone kisses and letting Littlest Amerikiwi have a ride on his trike.
  • Neo looking for the trains
  • Monkey opening BusyIssy's present (wrapped in jellybean wrapping paper) and saying - "Snail* was wrong! There's no jelly beans in here"
  • Any number of falls off bikes and trikes with no tears
  • The littlest members of our group wearing pirate hats and looking adorable!
  • Monkey calling for all the other children at the park to join him opening his presents.
  • Coffee Group Girls - you rock! Nothing more to say! You rock!
And then this evening we went out for dinner to Lone Star and they gave him a T-shirt to commemorate his 3rd birthday. We had a lovely dinner and he was impeccably behaved.
Then the cherry on the top of an amazing day was when he thanked me for a perfect day, marvelled at all the stars he could see and made a wish on the shooting star he swore he saw!

*Snail - imaginary friend, who recently acquired a brother and an ability to fly and two feet.
